Deep Learning and Video Surveillance

In the Video Management Software sector, we are experiencing significant benefits deriving from Deep Learning. In facial recognition, for example, there are clear improvements in terms of accuracy, with very high levels of accuracy in controlled environments.

But Deep Learning has fully demonstrated its potential in identifying objects and people. At Arteco, we have found this above all with our Arteco VCA video analysis system: it allows automatic recognition of people, objects and vehicles; the detection of movements and the application of filters and zones directly on the video streaming in real time.

Thanks to the application of analysis algorithms based on Deep Learning, Arteco VCA is in continuous development and is constantly enriched with new data. In terms of efficiency, cost reduction and reduction of risk margins due to exclusively human surveillance, Arteco VCA guarantees the automation of the recognition and cataloging processes of individuals/objects entering the monitored area.

By defining the logical rules during the installation phase, Arteco VCA allows defining the violated areas, the unusual behaviors (prolonged stops, wandering, irregular entrances and exits), the gatherings of people and vehicles: the collected data are sent simultaneously under the form of alarm to the single interface of Arteco NEXT and to the security officer who can double-check with the recorded videos and the data collected by the anti-intrusion devices integrated in Arteco.
