Convergence drives discussion at ISC West

20 April 2017 · Categories: Blog, Events

Nearly every conversation we had at ISC West revolved around convergence, connectivity, communications and compatibility — the 4Cs (as long as you accept there are no diamonds involved in this discussion.)

At the show, people stated that convergence and system and device compatibility is here — FINALLY. You can see it on the show floor: IT companies exhibiting alongside physical security providers, integrated partner pavilions, Big Data partnerships, the cooperation between security and marketing within an enterprise. All these initiatives point to the fact that the industry is becoming integrated, customers are aligning within their organizations and ease of communication between third-party devices is more of a reality.

At Arteco, our main priority has always been to reduce the complexities of devices and systems with our video event management software (VEMS.) We have a long list of integrated solutions, including CyberExtruder, SANS Technology and ZKAccess, which were demonstrated at our booth. But our commitment to integration goes one step further: last year we released Open Connector, which consolidates third-party notifications and events from various devices and systems (surveillance cameras, access control, alarm, building automation and the like) into one easy-to-use, intuitive interface that connects with the Arteco VEMS platform. It takes the process of multi-system integration to another level, quite frankly, beyond the world of common APIs.

Over the past year, we’ve received accolades and great customer/partner feedback for Open Connector and at ISC West, we received a gold-level Government Security Award from Security Today. We are honored to receive this award and pleased to be recognized for our contributions to the municipal, Safe City and government markets.

ISC West 2017 was an amazing show for the Arteco team. We had the opportunity to talk to customers and partners, new and old, and connect with industry thought leaders through various engagements. ISC continues to be one of the strongest conferences we attend each year and we look forward to seeing what 2018 brings. Thanks to all who contributed to making this a great event for our company and our team.
