uSS is a modular, service-based software platform designed to support modern video surveillance projects, where flexibility, scalability, and cybersecurity are no longer optional. Built for installers and system integrators, uSS enables the deployment and management of video services across cloud, edge, and on-prem environments, on Linux, Windows, and macOS.
Because it is a smart, practical choice. It is lightweight and makes efficient use of hardware, even on modest systems. It is highly stable, making it ideal for 24/7 services and critical infrastructure. From a cybersecurity perspective, it offers strong control and reliability.
Most importantly, Linux is everywhere. It powers NAS and recording storage, gateways and AI boxes, IP cameras, servers, data centers, and cloud platforms. It is not confined to one environment, it is the foundation of modern infrastructure.
At the heart of uSS is a microservices architecture. Each service is dedicated to a specific function—such as live streaming, recording, storage, events, or authentication—and can be deployed, scaled, or updated independently.
This approach allows systems to evolve over time, adapt to different project requirements, and remain operational even during updates.
